The zoo aims to keep track of all known stabilizer decompositions, which are expressions of a (non-stabilizer) quantum state as a sum of stabilizer states. Such decompositions are useful for the classical simulation of quantum circuits.
Families
Decompositions are organized into the following families according to the kind of state which they decompose:
The zoo is open-source and is open to contributions on GitHub; see instructions there for how to submit new decompositions. We provide a description of each term of each decomposition as both a ZX-diagram and an algebraic description based on AP normal form, as well as data files for each decomposition in various formats. See here for more information on how to understand this data.
